The Powder Houses
An eco-tourism proposal for the Bureau of Land Management, jointly designed with fellow architecture student Brittany Fawcett, and located in the Black Hills of South Dakota between Leed and Deadwood. The office and historical exhibits are constructed into a steep sloping hill and around an existing gun powder storage building. Pavilions, cabins, primitive camping sites, and minimal impact landscaping round out the proposal.
